As we know, many celebrity come with dsylexia problem. One of them is UK actress, Keira Knightley. She has dsylexia problem in his childhoold and dealt it by reading Emma Thompson’s Oscar-winning screenplay, Sense and Sensibility. The actress told GQ magazine that she learned to bypass the dsylexia by focusing on the script and imagine what Thompson will do.

“My mum, who worked with her on Sense and Sensibility got me a copy of the screenplay Emma had written,” said Knightley. “And I was – am – dyslexic and the way she got me over it was to say: ‘If Emma Thompson couldn’t read, she’d make ——- sure she’d get over it, so you have to start reading, because that’s what Emma Thompson would do’.”

Keira Knightley was allowed an agent at the age of six after dealing with her dyslexia and performing well at school.

That’s show that dsylexia is not a big problem for your health. You can be a success person even if you have dsylexia..

After Vietnam and Cambodia infect with H5N1, Indonesia 23 and 5 years old girl had died of the H5N1 infection. The 5 year old become a victim and died on Jan 16 and her sister died earlier this year. Both of them were found to be in contact with infected pigeons. Indonesian Health Ministry revealed that the girl is positive for bird flu following further test.
Measures undertaken from Indonesia government included medical checks on people with acute lung disease to see whether they are infected with H5N1 virus.

People with dyslexia often struggle with the ability to accurately decode and identify what they read. Although disrupted processing of speech sounds has been implicated in the underlying pathology of dyslexia, the basis of this disruption and how it interferes with reading comprehension has not been fully explained. Now, new research published by Cell Press in the December 22 issue of the journal Neuron finds that a specific abnormality in the processing of auditory signals accounts for the main symptoms of dyslexia.

“It is widely agreed that for a majority of dyslexic children, the main cause is related to a deficit in the processing of speech sounds,” explains senior study author, Dr. Anne-Lise Giraud and Franck Ramus from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, France. “It is also well established that there are three main symptoms of this deficit: difficulty paying attention to individual speech sounds, a limited ability to repeat a list of pseudowords or numbers, and a slow performance when asked to name a series of pictures, colors, or numbers as quickly as possible. However, the underlying basis of these symptoms has not been elucidated.”

Dr. Giraud and colleagues examined whether an abnormality in the early steps of auditory processing in the brain, called “sampling,” is linked with dyslexia by focusing on the idea that an anomaly in the initial processing of phonemes, the smallest units of sound that can be used to make a word, might have a direct impact on the processing of speech.

The researchers found that typical brain processing of auditory rhythms associated with phonemes was disrupted in the left auditory cortex of dyslexics and that this deficit correlated with measures of speech sound processing. Further, dyslexics exhibited an enhanced response to high-frequency rhythms that indirectly interfered with verbal memory. It is possible that this “oversampling” might result in a distortion of the representation of speech sounds.

“Our results suggest that the left auditory cortex of dyslexic people may be less responsive to modulations at very specific frequencies that are optimal for analysis of speech sounds and overly responsive to higher frequencies, which is potentially detrimental to their verbal short-term memory abilities,” concludes Dr. Giraud. “Taken together, our data suggest that the auditory cortex of dyslexic individuals is less fine-tuned to the specific needs of speech processing.”

Dyslexia is a term defines as a learning disability that impairs a person’s fluency or comprehension accuracy in being able to read. The person also has difficult with phonological decoding, phonological awareness, auditory short-term memory, orthographic coding or rapid naming. The word comes from the Greek word means ‘difficulty with words’. A dyslexic person also have problem putting things in order, following instruction and may confuse the direction. The dyslexia person will have low self-estem, frustration and a severe loss of confidence.
There’s many research about this disease but it is not really understood.

Preschool children

In some cases, it may be possible to detect symptoms of dyslexia before a child starts school.
Possible symptoms include:
delayed speech development in comparison with other children of the same age
speech problems, such as not being able to pronounce long words properly and ‘jumbling’ up phrases – for example, saying ‘hecilopter’ instead of ‘helicopter’, or ‘beddy tear’ instead of ‘teddy bear’
problems expressing themselves using spoken language, such as being unable to remember the right word to use, or putting together sentences together incorrectly
little understanding or appreciation of rhyming words, such as ‘the cat sat on the mat’, or nursery rhymes
difficulty with, or little interest in, learning the letters of the alphabet

Early school years

Symptoms of dyslexia in children who are 5-7 years of age include:
problems learning the names and sounds of letters
spelling that is unpredictable and inconsistent
problems copying written language
poor phonological awareness

Teenagers and adults

Symptoms of dyslexia in teenagers include:
slow writing speed
poorly organised written work which lacks expression – for example, even though an older child may be very knowledgeable about a certain subject, they may have problems expressing that knowledge in writing
problems with reading fluency – reading fluency is the ability to read text smoothly, rapidly, and automatically, without having to use any, or little, conscious effort

Dyslexia adult syptoms

It may be possible for someone with dyslexia to reach adulthood without the condition being properly identified. Signs that you may have dyslexia include:
trying to avoid reading and writing whenever possible
trying to conceal any difficulties that you have with reading and writing from other people
poor spelling
poor time management and organisational skills
relying on memory and verbal skills, rather than reading or writing

What is anemia?

It is a condition in which the mature red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body tissues decreases. This function is carried out by a protein called hemoglobin. Anemia usually means not enough hemoglobin. Normal Haemoglobin level is between 11.5 to 16.5g/dL for women and 12.5 to 18.5g/dL for men.

Causes of anemia

Blood loss (whether acute or chronic)
Acute blood loss may be seen on a road accident or after surgery. Blood loss of more than 500ml usually require blood fiber.
Chronic blood loss occurs during excessive menstruation, worm infestation and other conditions.
The formation of red blood cells is not sufficient from the bone marrow.

Anaemia may be caused by:

The lack of essential factors like iron, and vitamin B12, folate and erythropoietin.
Rapid expansion of the youth, resulting in increased demand for iron which is above the level of iron absorption.
Menstrual cycle in women with a loss estimated 30mg of iron each month causes of iron deficiency.
Toxic factors: inflammatory disease, liver and kidney failure, medications.
Hormone deficiency: low levels of thyroid hormones.
Attacks the bone marrow: blood cancers, bone marrow disease.
Disorders of red blood cells: conditions such as thalassemia.
Destruction of red blood cells over-
May occur in some infections or taking a medication.

Common types of anemia are:

Anemia due to iron deficiency.
Thalassaemia

The signs and symptoms of anemia :

Feeling tired all the time
dizziness
Shortness of breath when doing physical atktiviti

Rapid heart rate
Poor memory
Weight loss

If anemia is excessive it will cause:

Heart failure where the heart function becomes weak and inadequate.

Treatment of anemia depends on the type of anemia encountered.
