There’s study from America NPR that only 2 percent of contact lens user follow all the rules and 80 percent think that they follow the good practice. The result was published in the December issue of the journal Optometry and Vision Science.
In the study 72 percent of contact lens think they have experienced discomfort from their lenses and 47 percent having had an infection from their lenses. Some of the bad habits include ‘topping off’ the solution in the lens case instead of soaking and rinsing lenses in fresh solution each day and never or rarely replacing the lens case.
Common problem such as conjuctivitis can be caused by a bacterial infection and the more serious illness such as pseudomonas, Acanthamoeba and E.Coli that can cause blindness.
This is some tips using lenses

1. Avpod using your contact between water and lenses (remove it before going swimming)
2. Never rinse lenses in water.
3. Saline solution and rewetting drops are not meant to disinfect your contact lenses.
4. Discard old lenses and start a new pair according to the schedule given to you by your eye care professional.
5. Rinse your contact lens case with solution and not water.
6. Replace your contact lens case every three months.

Most of user don’t really know how to use eye drops properly. They just use without any knowledge. In this article, I’ll share the guidelines how to use eye drops properly .

1. Wash hand using soap and water.
2. Check the dropper tip to ensure it is not cracked or chipped.
3. Never touch the dropper tip against your eye. Make sure the droppers and eyedrops is clean.
4. Pull down your lower eye lid with index finger. It is to form a pocket in you eyes.
5. Hold the dropper with other hand as close to the eye without touching it.
6. Brace the remaining fingers against your face.
7. Squeeze the droper gently to ensure the drop falls into your eye.
8. Close your eyes about 2 minutes and look at the floor. Never blink or squeeze your eyelids.
9. Place finger on tear duct and apply gentle pressure.
10. Wipe excess liquied using a tissue.
11. If you use more than one drop to the same eye, wait at least 5 minute before drop another.
12. Replace and tighten dropper bottle cap.
13. Lastly, Wash your hands.

Points about eye drops

1. Always closed the bottle in dark place and cool.
2. Do not let anyone else use your drop and don’t use anyone drops..
3. Keep the eyedrop out of children.
4. Never use the eye drops that is old. There is a risk the bottle get bacteria if the product is old.

I’ve read at the newspaper about disease in the optic nerve. The disease called Glaucoma and will damage the vision. It is one of main reason of blindness that affects millions of people. Everybody can get Glaucoma even you have healthy eye before but there are main factors to get this disease :-

1. Age. Older people have high risk to get glaucoma.
2. High blood pressure also can cause glaucoma.
3. Family history
4. Diabetes
5. Steroid treatment

Do you know about Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)?The disease will cause a blurring and darkening of central vision.
