It is important for pregnant woman to take care their health. One of important nutrition during pregnancy is Omega-3 Fatty acid. The Omega-3 fatty acid used to make the cognitive growth for babies is in good process. Expert from the International Society for the Study Fatty Acids and Lipids (ISSFAL) recommend this fatty acid to pregnant woman. The pregnant woman required to take Omega -3 fatty acid minimum 300 mg DHA per day especially in breast feed phase. The part of brain that Omega-3 affect is in anxiety/depression, auditory and visual perception and learning ability . There are 3 type of Omega-3 fatty acids
1. Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)
2. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)
3. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
Omega-3 supplementation could help babies growth in a deficient, underdeveloped seven-year-old. It is important for pregnant woman to take Omega -3 fatty but still need to get recommend by doctor.
