Greater Susceptibility to Communicable Diseases
Viruses and germs that caused the common cold, flu or other illnesses can often be spread more easily during travel. These germs and viruses can enter your body through your nose, mouth or eyes when a person coughs, sneezes or breathes on you while talking. Changes in your sleep pattern may occur if you travel to another location that has a significant time difference from where you live. This time difference can cause you to experience jetlag, which will likely make you feel more tired and alert at unusual times during the day and night. Sleep disturbances can also occur from being in unfamiliar surroundings, which may cause you to experience more difficulty when trying to sleep. The changes may even be disruptive enough to cause insomnia, which will make you feel groggy throughout your trip.
