Fewer Young Women Complete HPV Vaccine


What is HPV Vaccine? It is an acronym of human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine. The vaccine prevents infection with certain species of human papillomavirus associated with the development of genital warts, cervical cancer and some less common cancers. There’s 2 HPV vaccones currently on the market are Cervarix and Gardasil.
It is highly effective in preventing cervical cancer. From the studies in the United States found that percentage of young women complete the vaccine is low. The studies from their insurance records found that 271,976 girls and women take the vaccine from 2006-2009.
The rate dropped to less than 22 percent in 2009 from more than 50 percent in 2006.
