Dementia is a general term for a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Dementia describes a group of symptoms affecting memory, thinking and social abilities severely enough to interfere with daily functioning.

It become increase and is expected to more than triple by 2010. One of the rarest forms of dementia is called Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease. Only one in one million people are diagnosed with it annually.
Many diseases can cause dementia at later stages. These include people with Multiple Sclerosis and HIV patients not taking antiviral medication.
