Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor

One of my favorite singer, Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. The country pop composer and singer survived breast cancer diagnosed in 2006 found that there’s a tumor after she had a brain scan in November after she was concerned about memory loss.

“I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI (scan). And I found out I have a brain tumor,” she told the Las Vegas Revue Journal newspaper. “And I was, like, ’See? I knew there was something wrong.’”
“I haven’t really talked about it,” she said. “In November, I found out I have a brain tumor. But it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it,” added the 50-year-old.

What is benign brain tumor?
Maybe not all of us know about this tumor. Maybe it become famous after Sheryl Crow revealed it. The benign brain tumors are usually defined as a group of similar cells that do not follow normal cell division and growth patterns and develop into a mass of cells that microscopically do not have the characteristic appearance of a cancer.
The tumor can be found by CT or MRI brain scans.These tumors can be removed and usually do not reoccur after removal. Benign brain tumors can be life threatening because they can compress brain tissue and other structures inside the skull.
The symptoms of benign brain tumors are not specific and can occur in many other diseases such as vision problem, balance problem, hearing problem, muscle jerking, memory loss, change in sense of smell, facial paralysis, headaches and etc.
