Diabetes Rates May Double by 2030

The World Health Organization (WHO) and several European universities has found that the number of people with diabetes will double by 2030.
The study suggests the greatest relative increases will be in the sub-Saharan Africa, India and Middle East. It based on statistic deaths due to infectious disease in developing countries are expected to continue to drop in the next 30 years.

Diabetes rates climb and deaths due to related disease such as heart disease will increase and account for a larger proportion of deaths in developing countries.

The study being published in the May issue of Diabetes Care show the top 10 countries with the highest number of estimated diabetes cases for 2000 and 2030 are as follows :

The study shows that the biggest three countries, India, China and US with the most people with diabetes.
