Technology Has Improved Our Lifestyle But Our Health As Well?

We are living in an age of technological reforms and technology is being embodied into every part of our day- to-day living but the question arises that has this technological reforms improved our health as well?  Technology has given birth to electronic gadgets such as iPods, mp3 players, mobile phones etc. but this gadget leaves an adverse impact on one’s health if overused. Most of the youngsters are found plugging the headphones in their ears and hearing the most all the time. More than 60 percent of people who regularly use headphones for music hearing with full volume are affected by tinnitus. Hence, it is advised not to over use the iPods and mp3 players and should keep the volume bar in check below the safe hearing level.

 

Technology has even brought computers without which the world comes at a halt. Computers have become an integral part of our lives and at the same time have also given rise to tsunami of health issues. Sitting in front of a computer for a long span of time affects everything from our spine to eyes. According to a research, bending our back by sitting in front of a computer for more than 6 to 8 hours a day can cause a person to be crooked and inert. Issues with shoulder ache, arm, neck and hand problems may arise. While sitting in front of a computer the most affected organ is our eyes. It loses the color balance and even while sitting in front of a computer our eye blink rate drastically reduces which results in drying of eyes which can cause long term vision deterioration. Eyes drops should be used for lubricating dry eyes and a good body posture, a comfortable chair can solve the health problems up to some extent. There are many debates carried out about the cause of cancer by the use of mobile phones or not but there are no convincing results found yet to conclude that noxious effects are not caused. But lack of attestation does not verify the absence of risk.
