10 ways to ensure your eyes stay healthy

1.    Get a good sleep. A best sleep could help your eyes rest.

2.   Some of us rub eyes. It is bad habit. It could make your eye get infection from bacteria. Avoid to rub your eyes. If your eyes it itchy, just put some water in your eyes.

3.   Be sure to wear googles when doing a work that involved dust or anything that may get particles.

4.   Keep a distance while reading a book, watching computer or television. It is important to make sure your eyes get rest while doing this activities.

5.   Using a protection equipment when watch computer or television. At market there’s a filter that protect use from radiation.

6.   Using eye drop if you feel watery, dry, red eyes or itchy.

7.   Get a vision test at least every six month. Adults, especially those over 40, should have yearly eye exams, particularly to prevent age-related ocular conditions including macular degeneration (the part of the retina that processes light deteriorates), cataracts (the lens of your eye becomes cloudy) and glaucoma (pressure in the eye damages the optic nerve).

8.   Not to stare into darkness because it could damage your eyes.

9.   Avoid stare into sunlight or reflecting sun’s rays object.

10.  Buy a good quality sunglasses. Invest in polarized sunglasses if you could afford it.
