An asthma attack is a period of time when it’s extremely difficult to breathe and may last for several minutes or worst up a few day. Severe attack could be fatal but most of it not. These preventive medicines include inhaled steroids and anti-inflammatories such as Singulair. Steriods are the librarians of the respiratory system, they prevent symptoms from occuring by telling your airways to be quiet and by reducing the inflammation in the area.

One of the more common medicine are bronchodilators: inhaled medicine that relax the muscles in your airway so that the airways become larger, making room for more air to pass through. They’re usually taken via an inhaler with a spacer attached, which you need to be taught how to use. Your doctor should help to take for prevention and for rescue, as well as when to seek emergency medical attention. If you think, the asthma become worst, it is likely your asthma is being undertreated and you need to see regular doctor to revise your asthma action plan.
