Disabled children end up facing a lot more issues in school when compared to their non-disabled peers. While bullying is a huge problem affecting more than 80% of children with learning disabilities, the lack of appropriate facilities, ignorance among staff and peers, and negative attitudes towards disability adds to their difficulties. Educating non-disabled children in equality, tolerance and diversity and providing schools with proper access and mobility equipment are just two of the different ways to tackle the situation.
