
Heartburn is a disease occur when the acid contents of the stomach splash back into the esophagus. It is also known as acid indigestion. When it happens, the patient feel like heart on fire. There are two situation in this type of disease, occasional and frequent heartburn. Occasional is not serious illness while frequent can irritate the lining of the esophagus. Some cases, it injure and bleed the esophagus.
Heartburn is a painful burning feeling in your chest or throat. It happens when stomach acid backs up into your esophagus, the tube that carries food from your mouth to your stomach.
If you have heartburn more than twice a week, you may have GERD. But you can have GERD without having heartburn.
If you get frequent heartburn, make sure consult with doctor and physician for treatment.

What causes heartburn
Heartburn may affect us all occasionally, but recurrent acid reflux results in the diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD or GORD).
Gastroesophageal reflux disease is seen in people of all ages, and the causes heartburn is often attributable to a lifestyle factor, but it can also be due to unavoidable factors.
There are several things that can causes heartburn as below :-
1. Emotional disturbance and stress.
2. Food. Make sure your meals break down into alkaline and acid. Don’t take many acid food such.
Heartburn symptoms
1. As I’ve wrote at above, the main symptoms is feeling like heart is on fire. You will feel hot..
2. Your chest feel pain especially after lying, bending and eating.
3. Feel food stick in your chest.
4. Difficult to swallow.
How to cure heartburn
1. Relax after eating.
2. Quit smoking. It will reduce your heartburn and maybe cure it.,
3. Try not to overeat and lying after. Avoid alcohol, chocolate, birth control pils and fats.
Treatment and prevention of heartburn
The main treatment for repeated heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease are proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) drugs.
Always make sure your healthy in good condition by consult to your doctor regularly.
