What is Hemodialysis

I think most of us have heard about hemodialysis term. It always relate with people that having kidney problem. Hemodialysis is a method to remove creatinine and urea from the blood when the kidney are in renal failure.

The blood flows through dialysis machine to filter the waste product and become artificial kidney. Using the machine it help to balance the chemical in the body.

How hemodialysis work?

Two needles will be placed into patient vascular access to remove and return clean blood. The connection is using a tube to dialysis machine. The blood will be pumped from body to special filter through the machine and the blood will continue pumped through the dialyser machine.
The dialysis program best for 3 times a week which about 3 -5 hour session.
There are many haemodialysis services but beware especially non governmet clinic. Make sure the dialysis machine is certificate and have safety certification from government agency.
