Why You Need Breakfast

One of biggest eating mistake is not taking breakfast. The American Journal of Epidemiology research showed that people who skip breakfast are 4.5 times more likely to be obese than those who take a morning meal. It is based on the studies of 499 people whose diets were tracked over a year long period.

Studies from American Heart Association’s showed that not only are breakfast-eaters less likely to be obese, they’re also more likely to have good blood sugar levels and less likely to be hungry later on in the day. Eating a breakfast could help you feel less tired in your day. The result from 1999 study in the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition found that when people ate a high-fat, low carb breakfast, they had more energy throughout the day compared people ate a high fat breakfast.

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition studies also show that people who don’t eat breakfast are more likely to have worse cholesterol levels and insulin sensitivitiy than breakfast eaters. It also showed that the breakfast eaters consume about 100 fewer calories a day, compared with people who skip.
According the studies from Journal of Adolescnet Health, eating high-energy foods for breakfast could help to boost short term memory and seemed to hinder concentration.
Eating breakfast also make people consume more fat and fewer nutrients than regular breakfast eaters.
